Tagging is a great way to find things quickly. The biggest downfall would be if you forgot what/how you tagged something! It would be important to make obvious tags that would make sense to the average person!

I had a lot of fun with this site. I think it will be very beneficial. I can never remember what sites I like and this will help me keep them organized and accessible where ever I am! I also like that you can see where other people are going and what they think! This is very valuable since we no longer have time for our Professional Learning Communities. I am looking forward to playing with it more and adding more sites to my personal page.

Embedding code seems to be pretty straight forward. I'm on Facebook and relationships formed online are not as meaningful as face-to-face relationships. Many people post about themselves with little interest to others, and those that are interested are usually the people you talk with daily anyway. It's a form of communication for those that live far apart, but should not be in place of face-to-face. Facebook and other social networking sites are so popular with kids today because they can say what they want whenever they want!

I like the blogging guidelines!! Leave something of value and don't feed the trolls! I don't know if I agree with "don't post just to post." Sometimes it's nice to know someone is reading even if they are just agreeing or "liking" your post!

I like http://bighugelabs.com/flickr/ I tried the movie poster for my mom's 60th birthday and she loved it! I will go back to it. I'm not sure how I would use this in my classroom, but it is very cool to see all of the different things you can do! Trading cards would be very cool for the children to make!

I've added Brycen's ultrasound picture to Flikr. I think I'll stick with Snapfish for my personal pictures.

It was tough to find a picture that wasn't copyright protected! The pictures are great to look at. Wonderful pre-writing tool!

There are a bazillion cool feeds to follow, but I don't think I have time to read them all or even skim them all! I could be lost in Feed-town forever!! I found feeds on everything, and that was cool. Maybe a classroom feed to follow that evoked students' interest?

Thing 4

I'm not loving this one! I subscribed, but now what? I check it every day to see if anything new was posted? I guess it's great if you surf blogs every day. It would definitely save time...but it takes time to wade through all of the new posts you missed. I did find a cool blog called Grammar Girl that I liked. I don't know. I can't see using this often. Am I missing something?

Thing 1 & 2 (again)

This is my second time going through 23 thing and although I'm feeling overwhelmed with everything else we have to do on top of this I am looking forward to learning new "things." My blogging started out as a great success, but is currently in a bit of a stall. I don't know if students lost interest or I did. I tried to do a summer reading club on my blog over the summer but TWO kids responded all summer! Everyone had their books and we were ready to go but I guess when summer hit most lost interest. Karim and I had a great time...haha. I've not used it much this year. Maybe it's time to give it another shot!
